Subject to weather conditions our first day of flying off the new runway surfaces at RAF Shawbury is confirmed as Sun 11 Jan 26.

Flying will be conducted:

  • iaw our recent SaoC.

  • following a dynamic risk assessment of the aerodrome environment (incl FOD) to be carried out by RSGC members prior to conducting flying activities.

Airfield Tour. If the weather prevents flying please attend as we will still be undertaking a tour of the airfield, aimed at re-familiarising members with runway ops, the new airfield signs, etc.

This is great news and many thanks to all involved for getting us back to normal business.
