Aerobatics

Written By RAF Shawbury GC

Aerobatics in a glider is one of the most exciting things you can do. At RSGC we teach aerobatics in our K21 gliders

Our club members regularly fly aerobatics displays at the Cosford Airshow in RSGC’s own K21 gliders. As well as our CFI, Ian Gallacher, flying the display himself, he has also trained up mechanics technician Brad Lefley-Kemp to fly the Cosford Airshow while he was studying at Cosford. We have even had a 13 year old complete 6 consecutive loops in one of our K21 gliders. So if you’re looking for an adrenaline rush, why not learn to fly aerobatics with RSGC?

There are loads of amazing glider aerobatics videos YouTube. If it looks like a rollercoaster on camera then imagine what it feels like to be in the glider

UK aerobatics display teams have been around the world performing tricks like throwing parachutists out of the back seat and rolling on aerotow, with pyrotechnics galore
