Aerobatics in a glider is one of the most exciting things you can do. At RSGC we teach aerobatics in our K21 glider

There are loads of amazing glider aerobatics videos YouTube. If it looks like a rollercoaster on camera then imagine what it feels like to be in the glider! Most of these flights are flown in the fully aerobatic MDM-1 Fox or Swift S-1 gliders. You can often catch RSGC’s CFI, Ian Gallacher, performing an aerobatics displays in our K21 at local air shows such as the RAF Cosford Air Show

The best aerobatics display teams in the UK include GliderFX and aeroSPARX. Performing tricks like throwing parachutists out of the back seat and rolls during aerotow, and with pyrotechnics galore, they have displayed in many countries around the world. They also do some great work with the aviation charity Aerobility

Closer to home, our club members have flown aerobatics displays at the Cosford Airshow in an MDM-1 Fox and in the club’s own K21 gliders. We have even had a 13 year old complete 6 consecutive loops in one of our K21 gliders. So if you’re looking for an adrenaline rush, why not learn to fly aerobatics with RSGC?
